In Episode 4 of the Books on the Nightstand Podcast:Ann discovers the world of Reading Challenges. Use some of these links to explore for yourself

In the last episode, Michael issued his own challenge to Ann: read an entire graphic novel. Ann did, and talks about the experience. If you think you don’t like graphic novels, our podcast may be enlightening.

And we preview two new books that hit the shelves on May 13th: The Boat, by Nam Le and The Steel Wave, by Jeff Shaara.

    Hi Lezlie,

Thanks for posting! It’s so nice to hear from people who are listening — we just see the numbers of people who download, and we have no idea who they are!

And of course, we’d love it if you’d help us spread the word about our podcast. :)

I just visited your blog, and realize that I have been there before. You’re related to one of “our” (Random House) authors! (though I confess I have not yet had a chance to read her book … it’s on my nightstand, though!) I love Year of Pleasures and recommend it often when we speak to book groups.

I hope you’ve been able to find some new books to add to the stack on *your* nightstand. Have any recommendations for us??

    Thanks again!

I wanted to second Michael’s endorsement of Brian K. Vaughan. His Y: The Last Man series is excellent.
