The results of the poll are interesting actually, in so much that a third of people would keep reading despite the book potentially being rubbish! I suppose it depends on the friend!

No, it was nothing like that. The book publishes this spring, it's not RH, and that's about all I will say. I don't want to give people an unfair preconception of the book, which I enjoyed, just because I thought I was smarter than the author :)

It's not a twist at the end ... what I *thought* was the ending was actually revealed about 1/3 of the way through, and the rest of the mystery went from there. Enjoyable. Not predictable.

Wait... JR getting shot was a DREAM?! I can't believe you spoiled that for me. I was going to watch that tomorrow night! ;)

You're right. getting to page 300 and finding out everything you knew was a lie IS kind of annoying!

That's two of us dying to know what book it was--come on, just a little hint? Maybe we've already read it.....

I have to say, I *hate* books that base a story on a certain premise, then yank that premise out from under you right at the very end. I mean, why bother reading it? It is like the whole "Who shot JR?" issue--oh, nobody did, it was only a dream. That is a big cheat.

Umm, okay, off the soapbox now, carry on......
