Terry Kate,
Yes, it was different, to be sure. I think we may talk a little bit more in depth about BEA in general on the next podcast (though I haven't spoken with Michael yet about it, so that may change). But in some ways, I think it was better and in some ways, not so much. The industry is evolving, for sure.

Sorry we didn't get a chance to say hi (or if we did, I'm so sorry I've forgotten -- the whole week was a blur).

Is it just me, or was BEA different this year? Kensington no showed and so did Dorchester! hey are all based in NYC. I still had a blast as always don't get me wrong, but I was surprised by some of the cutbacks. Not that they are surprising really.
Looking forward to next year either way,
Terry Kate

LOL! I can see why that would be funny. It's always interesting to read/hear what others think of Vegas. It's like we're two different cities. The one with the Strip and gambling and the other one; the one with schools and libraries and families.

Though I probably wouldn't have been able to go, the thought of a large amount of book people descending on Vegas was very humorous to me!

I was very bummed when I found out BEA isn't coming to Vegas. I was looking forward to not having to travel to go.
