Dammit!
I just entered a long and comprehensive comment, and when I hit the submit button my Internet Explorer freaked out.
Was it somehow saved or do I need to retype the whole thing?

I think that may be one of the few Seinfeld episodes I've never seen Tanya! I'll have to look for it...

Interesting to hear that trivia books, etc. helped with your "painter's block"

There's an episode of Seinfeld where George takes a book into the restroom at a bookstore. Somehow, the clerks "know" it's been in the bathroom just by glancing at it, force George to purchase the stigmatized book and refuse to accept it as a return later! He spends the rest of the episode trying to trick the store into accepting it as a return...

For reasons I can't explain (because I just don't know) I can't stand having printed material in the bathroom! It's the only place in the house that does not have a book in it! Interestingly, in the years I had pretensions of being an artist, I would keep trivia books, puzzle books, joke books, almanacs and atlases in my studio and pour though them when I was suffering from the painter's equivalent of writer's block!

I usually keep a magazine handy for its glossy pics and quick reads, but these were 2 great suggestions. Sometimes it's the quietest place in the house to read.

And to set the record straight, they are kept there for my leisurely soaks in the bath...ummm, yeah, that's it.

(I might just be that Canadian girl pumpkin shirt was talking about ;-) )
